Manufacturing website design
Engineering website design for manufacturers and machine shops: capability, certification and plant in numbers, and a quote form that takes the drawing. Website design for engineering companies that buyers shortlist.

A buyer with a part to make checks three things before they ring: can you make it, can you prove it, can you quote it.
Engineering website design is the work of answering all three on the first screen.
What engineering buyers need from a manufacturing website
They have a drawing and a short list of suppliers. The site that makes the decision easy goes on the list.
Capability in numbers
Work envelopes, bar capacities and materials beat adjectives. The NR Engineering concept draws a 1150 × 635 × 635 mm milling envelope to scale, so a buyer sees whether a part fits before they ask.
Certification with its scope
An ISO 9001 logo helps most when the scope is beside it. JC Engineering’s certificate covers prototype and aerospace parts, so the concept puts the certificate number and scope on the first screen.
A form that takes the drawing
Buyers have a file, not a brief. The quote form accepts PDF, DXF, DWG, STEP and IGES files, checks them, and sends your team the drawings with the request.
Plant and materials as tables
A machine list with sizes and years answers more than a paragraph about being well equipped. Materials, finishes and free-issue terms sit in the same plain tables.
NR Engineering: capability you can measure
A concept redesign for a four-person CNC machine shop in Reading, trading since 1998. The first screen carries the quote form and the ISO 9001 notice, and the milling page draws the work envelope to scale beside a table of machines.
Manufacturing website design should let a buyer decide in a minute whether a part will fit. Numbers, a drawing and a form that takes a file do that.
The home page. A quote form that takes drawings, and ISO 9001 in view.

Two more Reading firms
JC Engineering is a sheet metal fabricator in Reading, trading since 1970. The concept puts its ISO 9001 details in a drawing-style title block on the first screen. Builders Beams 4U is a steel supplier and fabricator, with size tables, a weight calculator, a delivery radius map and a form that takes your plans.
Both are concept redesigns, built from each firm’s own content, parts and machines.

The pages a manufacturing website needs
Capabilities
A page for each process, with work envelopes and capacities drawn to scale so a buyer can check a part fits.
Plant and materials
Every machine with its size and age, and the materials and finishes you handle, as plain tables.
Our work
A gallery of your real parts, photographed or cut out consistently, with the process and material for each.
Quality
Certificates with their scope, your policy and your inspection, so a buyer can see the evidence behind the logo.
About
Who you are, how long you have been making parts and who they will deal with when they ring.
Quote
A form that takes drawings, checks them and sends your team the files, with a phone number beside it.
What engineering buyers need to see before they quote
Buyers are risking a production run on your word. The site should put the evidence where they look first.
Accreditation with its scope
ISO 9001, AS9100 or whatever you hold, with the certificate number, the scope and when it was issued.
Named people
Who they will deal with, and a direct number. Small teams are a strength, so show the team.
Capacity and lead times
What you can make, how big, how many and roughly how fast. Specifics reassure; vague claims do not.
Found for the processes you offer
Buyers search for the process and the town. We set up each capability page for those searches, and offer monthly SEO and AI visibility if you want more.
How much does manufacturing website design cost?
Engineering website design is quoted at a fixed price, from a written specification, and excludes VAT. Most manufacturers fall into one of these bands.
£3k to £8k
A focused site
For a machine shop or small manufacturer with a clear offer. Up to about 15 pages, capability pages, a plant list and a quote form. About 5 to 7 weeks.
£8k to £12k
An established manufacturer
For a manufacturer with several processes, sectors or locations. About 15 to 50 pages, a quote form with drawing upload, certificates and content moved across. About 7 to 10 weeks.
£12k and up
A larger manufacturer
For a group, several divisions or a product catalogue. Up to two custom tools, such as a size calculator or a finder. About 10 to 16 weeks.
After launch, WordPress care starts at £49 a month. The full tiers and what moves the price are on the pricing page, and website design and build explains what every project includes. Prices exclude VAT.
Manufacturing website design: your questions
How much does manufacturing website design cost?
Most manufacturers fall into our first two bands: £3,000 to £8,000 for a focused site and £8,000 to £12,000 for a manufacturer with several processes and a quote form that takes drawings. See the pricing page for the detail.
How long does engineering website design take?
About 5 to 7 weeks for a focused site and 7 to 10 weeks for a larger one. Photography and content are the biggest factors, so we plan them first.
What should the first screen show?
What you make, where you are, your certification and a way to send a drawing. A buyer should know in a few seconds whether you are worth a call.
Can the site take drawings and CAD files?
Yes. The quote form accepts common drawing and CAD formats, checks file type and size, and emails your team the files with the request. Copies are kept on the server, out of public reach.
We are a small shop. Should the site look bigger?
No. A small team is a reason to choose you: the buyer deals with the people who make the parts. The site should show the people, the machines and real parts, and promise nothing you cannot deliver.
Can you work from the photos we already have?
Yes. We cut out and clean up your existing part photographs. For the rest we recommend a half day of photography in your own workshop, and we plan the shots with you.
Will it help buyers find us on Google?
It can. We set up each capability page for the searches buyers make, including the process and your area, and offer monthly SEO and AI visibility for more.
Who looks after the website after launch?
You can, in WordPress, with training from us. Or choose a WordPress care plan from £49 a month: updates, backups, security and monitoring, plus time for small changes.
